Rowan University is hiring a Social Media Community Engagement Specialist to join the Division of Marketing & Communication. The specialist will manage the University's social media communities, create content, and support brand reputation through strategic communication and collaboration with internal teams. Highlights Manage and engage daily with Rowan University's social media communities, providing a campus-like customer service experience. Create and maintain a 365-day social media content calendar, including real-time message development aligned with university standards. Recruit, train, and supervise social media student workers using community management software. Collaborate with campus partners on communication support, crisis management, and escalating reputational risks. Research and implement social media best practices and innovative communication strategies. Support policy reinforcement and graphic standards for social media under Associate Director guidance. Required skills include experience with Sprout Social, strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube algorithms, and public relations or crisis communication experience. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field with at least two years of professional experience. Salary range from $63,833 to $73,416 annually, with comprehensive NJ State health, dental, retirement benefits, and tuition reimbursement options.
