Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience working in a clinical or hospital environment Preferred: 1 or more years of experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric to geriatric) Preferred: Current or prior LabCorp experience Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency must be provided Must pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to work in a fast‑paced/high‑volume environment Exceptional customer service skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently or as part of a team Comfortable working under minimal supervision Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO Quarterly incentive bonus program: Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Equal Opportunity Employer Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer: Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
