This 200-bed facility provides comprehensive critical care services with dedicated intensive care units and advanced life support capabilities. The hospital operates with established protocols and modern ICU monitoring equipment to support quality patient care delivery.

The area offers outdoor recreation opportunities including hiking trails at Sawnee Mountain Preserve, parks such as Fowler Park, and activities like fishing and rafting in mountain towns and countryside settings. Visitors can explore scenic areas via train rides along routes like the Blue Ridge Scenic Parkway and discover state parks including Black Rock Mountain State Park. The clinician will provide comprehensive critical care coverage during night shifts, rounding on general and subspecialty ICU units. Essential responsibilities include working collaboratively with the hospitalist team and managing critically ill adult patients requiring intensive monitoring. The clinician will maintain backup support from surgical specialties and neurology physicians on call while delivering specialized critical care services. Board certification is required for this position with prescriptive authority essential for effective patient management.
