OverviewThe Quant Core Data team is looking for an engineer with significant Python experience who has a deep appreciation for performance and scalability to help build data flows used globally by our Quant Researchers & Strategists. In this role, you will:Design, develop, and scale our data framework with an eye for efficiency and robustnessBuild packages used exclusively by expert users to evolve our signal generation technologyHave greenfield development opportunities to optimize existing tooling from scratchWhat we’re looking forAt least 3+ years of experience in Python or C++, developing software with strict performance requirementsA deep appreciation for performance and benchmarking, including experience in large scale computing problems and performance trade-offsStrong systems fundamentals (virtual memory, numa, io, networking, etc.)Deep Linux knowledge Experience in Python data analysis and/or low level PythonStrong understanding of data structures and algorithmsEnthusiasm for working with data, especially large sets of data; good aesthetics for cleanliness and correctness in dataBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline or its foreign equivalent; advanced degree is preferredAbout SusquehannaSusquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm powered by scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation.
