Location 6615 St. Phillips Street,Mansura, LA, 71350,United States Employee Type Full Time Non-Exempt Description What You’ll Be Doing The Phlebotomist is responsible for assisting Provider(s) in the care of patients to assure optimal delivery of medical care. The successful candidate will be able to: Assist clinically, providing patient care, taking histories and vital signs, updating medication lists and patient records in EHR, collecting specimens, assisting with minor procedures, applying dressings, and maintaining a sterile environment. Maintaining patient files, records, and other information in a professional manner following policy and procedures while adhering to the guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI) Additional duties may also include: Assisting administratively in patient relations, check-in and check-out, scheduling appointments, tests and referrals, and answering the telephone This is a unique opportunity for a motivated, personable, articulate individual who enjoys working in the medical field. We are seeking a medical assistant/phlebotomist who is organized, self-motivated, and has expertise in customer service. Experience with Athena is a plus.
