What we are looking for: Pivotal Consulting is seeking an experienced UI Front-End Developer to join our cybersecurity technology team. In this role, you will design and build secure, high-performance user interfaces for applications that protect sensitive data and critical systems. The ideal candidate combines strong front-end expertise with an understanding of secure coding practices and a passion for building resilient, user‑centric security products. What you will do: Develop secure, scalable web applications using React and TypeScript Translate complex cybersecurity workflows and data into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces Collaborate with security engineers, backend developers, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions Implement secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities such as XSS, CSRF, and injection attacks Integrate front‑end components with secure APIs and backend services using Node.js Optimize applications for performance, reliability, and cross-browser compatibility Contribute to design systems and reusable component libraries with a focus on consistency and security Participate in code reviews, testing, and security audits to maintain high code quality Troubleshoot and resolve UI issues in security-sensitive environments What makes you a good fit: 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 Solid understanding of secure front-end development principles and common web vulnerabilities Experience working with Node.js and integrating with RESTful APIs Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, SSO) Experience with modern front-end tooling (Webpack, Vite, Babel) Proficiency with version control systems (Git) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred: Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS security platforms, or enterprise security tools Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (OWASP Top 10, NIST, etc.) Experience with secure data visualization (e.g., dashboards for threat detection or monitoring) Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) Experience with Next.js or other SSR frameworks Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines Why our employees love working at Pivotal: We believe our strength comes from our differences, and as a Certified Minority‑Owned Business (MBE) and a majority women‑led firm, we are committed to fostering and promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion. W2 plus benefits or $60-$70/hr. 1099; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
