Technical Program Manager, Meteorology

Salary: $110,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level DoD clearance.
• We require a bachelors degree in management, engineering, computer science, the physical sciences, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• We require 8 to 10 years of experience in a technical specialty and at least 8 years of program or project management experience.
• We require demonstrated experience leading discussions between government contracting officers, contract technical representatives, and company technical staff.
• We require proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• We require the ability to pass a medical physical and be cleared for travel to Kwajalein.
• Preferred: prior or current SMDC leadership or on-site experience.
• Preferred: PMP certification, or willingness to pursue PMP certification within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: a masters degree in engineering or a scientific field.
• Preferred: operational forecasting experience and familiarity with meteorological equipment used in forecasting.
• Preferred: an active CAC and/or security clearance.
• Preferred: experience managing contracts with work performed across multiple U.S. states or overseas locations.
• Preferred: prior or current National Weather Service or similar management experience.

• We serve as the primary point of contact for communications, work assignments, technical guidance, and requirements flow between government representatives and our company.
• We ensure contract compliance and the timely submission of all required deliverables.
• We maintain strong relationships with the Contracting Officer, Contracting Officers Representative, prime contractors, subcontractors, corporate staff, and contract employees to support transparent operations.
• We communicate complex technical subjects clearly to non-technical audiences.
• We develop proposals and budgets for government submission related to weather station modernization.
• We oversee modernization projects and budgets, assess risks, and help keep costs under budget.
• We support achievement of goals related to customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team performance.
• We assist with business development efforts for follow-on contract competition.
• We prepare accurate and timely program status reports throughout the contract lifecycle.
• We create and deliver briefings to government officials and customers as needed.
• We manage a diverse team operating across multiple sites.
• We support Kwajalein operations and missions outside normal business hours when required.
• We travel occasionally to Huntsville and Kwajalein.

We are RedTown Technical Services, LLC, and this is an on-site Program Manager opportunity based in Norman, OK or Huntsville, AL supporting the Meteorological Support Services contract for Kwajalein Island under the Space Missile Defense Command. Our meteorological operations teams in Kwajalein, Huntsville, and Norman provide forecast services, support meteorological equipment, and maintain meteorological IT infrastructure for the Reagan Test Range and surrounding region in both daily and mission-specific operations. The role may require work outside normal business hours, occasional travel, and support across multiple locations.
