DIRECTOR EXECUTIVE OFFICE FOR IMMIGRATION REVIEW

The primary mission of the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) is to adjudicate immigration cases by fairly, expeditiously, and uniformly interpreting and administering the Nation's immigration laws. Under delegated authority from the Attorney General, EOIR conducts immigration court proceedings, appellate reviews, and administrative hearings. As an office within the Department of Justice, EOIR is headed by a Director who reports directly to the Deputy Attorney General. For this position, the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs) have been established and should be addressed within the resume application. MTQ 1: Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and regulations, including their interpretation and administration under applicable statutory and regulatory authorities. MTQ 2: Demonstrated expertise in immigration adjudication and case management, including oversight of immigration courts, appellate proceedings, case priorities, adjudicator assignments, and timely case resolution.
