RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking a skilled RN to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Must have strong EPIC experience and the ability to float between multiple hospitals within a 20-mile radius. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing high-quality patient care and be a proactive team player.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Administer and manage arterial and central lines.
• Care for ventilated patients and manage continuous IV sedation.
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP therapy.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Implement isolation precautions and PPE as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 18 months of MICU experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications are required at the time of submission.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Must be nicotine-free as this is a smoke-free facility.

Within a 20-mile radius of the operating hospitals.
