Job Description
Title
MedSurgical Float Pool Nurse

Schedule
3 x 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years MedSurgical nursing experience
- Travel experience required
- Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Current BCLS/BLS certification
- Experience with Epic charting system

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric MedSurgical-type patients, managing a patient ratio of 1:4-1:5.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Perform IV starts, peripheral IV and PICC care/management, and blood product administration.
- Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias.
- Deliver wound care, including Wound VAC management, and handle care for patients with tracheostomies and non-invasive airway support.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
- Current RNs must have a valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission.
- Two professional references required, with at least one being a manager or director.
- Candidates must complete required fingerprinting immediately after signing the contract.
