We are proud to have become a shining example of what's possible when the brightest professionals dedicate themselves to making a difference in the healthcare industry, and in people's lives.Work ShiftVarious (United States of America) Job SummaryThe Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team(WESTTeam)supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities.RegionFourincludesColumbia County Medical Center & MCG Health Medical Center.As a CT Technologist for RegionFour, youwillapply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve.If you prefer a role that avoids routine, lets you use your full skill set, and provides straightforward pay,this could be a strong fit.PayIn return for stepping inwhere you’re needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rateand may be eligible for afloat incentive.Schedule & Incentives This role can offer a competitiverelocation assistance packagefor eligible candidates Afull‑timeposition with a variable schedule, based on organizational needs and may include12-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shiftsBenefits program that includes PTO, mental health support, wellness rooms, concierge services and moreAccess toWellstar’s CareerCare programfor fully funded education and guided career progressionRequired QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Radiologic Technology programExperienceMinimum2years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital settingMinimum2years ofCTexperience in a hospital settingCertificationsARRT-R (Radiography)ARRT-CT(Computed Tomography)BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart AssociationCore ResponsibilitiesPerform CT exams per physician orders, department protocols, and safety standards.Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, and screen for contraindications (including contrast risk).Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and communicate with patients/families with empathy and confidence.Prepare and position patients; assist with mobility, safe transfers, and use immobilization/shielding as needed.Establish IV access using sterile technique and maintain venipuncture competency.Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions; escalate concerns promptly.Operate CT scanners and power injectors safely; confirm proper anatomical markers and scan parameters.Optimize technique to achieve diagnostic image quality while minimizing radiation dose (ALARA).Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings/clinical changes, and involve the radiologist/physician when indicated.Complete documentation accurately and on time; manage RIS entries, PACS uploads, and CDs/logs when required.Perform, document, and follow through on QC checks, calibration verification, and compliance/audit standards.Maintain smooth daily operations by prioritizing workload, supporting cross-coverage/clerical needs, keeping rooms stocked and equipment cleaned/disinfected, participating in on-call, and adhering to regulatory/Joint Commission standards.Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
