JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Emergency Medicine NP/PA • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Gloversville, NY • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 08/17/2026 - Ongoing • Shift Schedule: Flexible Schedule PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Emergency Department Patients • Patient Volume/Census: 21,000 Annual ED Visits • Admissions: As Clinically Indicated • Case Mix: Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 21 Emergency Department Beds • Hospital Size: 74-Bed Acute Care Hospital • Skilled Nursing Facility: 84 Beds • EMR System: Meditech • Support Staff Available: 11-20 Hours of APP Coverage Daily PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Moderate Sedation Competency Required • Case Logs Required: Previous 2 Years • CME Documentation Required: Minimum 50 Category I Credits During Previous 2 Years • Immunization Requirements: Annual Influenza Vaccine, Current PPD or Chest X-Ray, Current Physical Exam, Annual N95 Fit Test, and Titers for MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Moderate Sedation • Emergency Medicine Procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active New York Nurse Practitioner License or Active New York Physician Assistant License • Board: Current AANP/ANCC Certification for NPs or NCCPA Certification for PAs • DEA: Active DEA Registration with New York Address and Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV, and V • Certifications: ACLS and PALS (AHA) • Experience: New Graduates Considered; Training Provided • Other Qualifications: Graduate of an Accredited NP or PA Program DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Evaluate, Diagnose, and Treat Emergency Department Patients • Perform Emergency Medicine Procedures Within Scope of Practice • Provide Patient Care in a Community Hospital Emergency Department • Document Patient Encounters in Meditech EMR • Collaborate with Physicians, Nursing Staff, and Hospital Personnel to Coordinate Patient Care
