Job Description\n Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Education\n Required - Registered nurse diploma.\n Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.\n \n Experience Required - 2+ years\n \n Certifications\n Required -\n \n Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.\n Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.\n Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.\n Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification\n Current Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association\n Current CPI certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute (within 12 months)\n \n \n \n KSAs\n \n Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.\n Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.\n Excellent organizational and time management skills.\n \n Job Duties\n \n Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.\n Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines.\n Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.\n Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.\n Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.\n Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.\n Performs other related duties as assigned.\n The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.\n \n Duties performed routinely require exposure to blood, body fluid and tissue.\n \n The incumbent works in a patient care area; works in an area where patients enter; works directly with patients; and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.\n \n Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
