YOUR IMPACT AS OUR QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER Work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday , and you'll be working on active project sites. This is a highly collaborative and dynamic role where you'll coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality results that meet (and exceed) the client's expectations. You'll lead our quality assurance program, overseeing internal techs and third‑party agencies through their inspections and tests. This position ensures the QC team does an excellent job, jumping in as needed to identify and correct non-conformities and discrepancies. You'll lay the foundation for success and efficiency by preparing and implementing project-specific QC plans. Throughout the project, you'll monitor construction processes and immediately address any safety or quality problems. You'll also perform hands‑on inspections and audits throughout all stages of the job, checking over construction materials, workmanship, and finished products. Attentively, you'll log the tests that you and your team perform and make sure that all materials meet quality and safety standards. QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER REQUIREMENTS NETTCP QA Technologist certification 10+ years of experience in highway bridge construction B.S. engineering degree (or higher) OR 5+ additional years of management or materials testing experience in highway bridge construction Experience working on design-build or accelerated construction projects Ability to read plans and perform quantity take-offs Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and Bluebeam software In-depth knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, regulations, and quality control processes Strong leadership skills Analytical problem‑solving skills and decision‑making abilities Communication skills with the ability to effectively work with stakeholders at all levels Organizational skills for multitasking Ability to work on active construction sites in all weather conditions Bonus Qualifications Professional quality control or construction management certifications (ISO 9001, ASQ CQE, etc.) Proficiency in construction project management tools like ProjectSight or Spectrum WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US Founded in 1987 by brothers Steven and Roger Ploof, S&R Corporation has grown from a small demolition business into a leading general contractor specializing in demolition, construction, and environmental services for both public and private sectors.
