This collaboration enriches our environment with evidence-based practice and a strong culture of continuous professional development.About Our Unit – Labor & Delivery14 Labor Rooms, 3 Triage Bays, 3 ORs, and 10 Pregnancy Special Care RoomsAWHONN-supported nurse-to-patient ratiosLabor Support: Birthing balls, slings, tubs, ambulation, and student or personal doulas to promote low-intervention birth and reduce primary cesarean ratesPain Management Options: Epidurals, nitrous oxide, labor slings, and clinical aromatherapyPosition DetailsThe Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.56 hours per two-week pay period (0.7 FTE) Night shift | 8 hour shifts| Every other weekendProvide expert care to low- and high-risk pregnant patientsSupport antepartum and postpartum mothers and familiesAssess and document fetal monitoringAdvocate for the family's birth plan and participate in shared decision-makingCollaborate as an engaged team member in our culture of safety and communicationAdvance your skills—after gaining labor experience, RNs are trained to circulate in the ORNRP and ACLS training provided.Required QualificationsNew Graduate Position open to those with Capstone/ Student Intern Experience in High Risk L&D unitMinnesota RN LicenseBLS certificationPreferred QualificationsNRP CertificationACLS Certification required within 6 months of hire.Fairview offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, PTO/vacation and Safe and Sick Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more!
