Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Profession: RN Specialty: RN - OB Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Preferred in an acute care facility License: Required Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS, STABLE Certification, AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS, Fetal Heart Monitoring Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines. Utilizes critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in patient care. Collects relevant data pertaining to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and safety. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the healthcare team, patients, and families to provide safe and humane care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Complies with all organizational requirements for vaccinations and safety protocols.
