Location GSS NE Bloomfield, Bloomfield, NE 68718, USA Shift & Schedule 12‑hour night shift (6 pm – 6:30 am), rotating weekends and holidays. Part‑time, 24 hours per week. Shift differentials for night (6 pm–6 am) and weekend shifts. Pay Hourly: $32.00 – $48.00. Sign‑on bonus: $7,500. Job Summary The Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and adopts appropriate age- and population-specific standards. The RN cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, and is responsible for the coordination of care, resident assessment, resident education, and other nursing interventions. The RN may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within the scope of their job descriptions and competence. The RN must provide adequate assistance to delegates to ensure safe administration of resident care and resolution of concerns, and must operate within the scopes and standards of nursing practice outlined by the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules in the state of practice and licensure. Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to deliver individualized care. Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Demonstrate competency in nursing expertise and adopt population‑specific standards. Provide preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment to residents. Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, and provide education and interventions. Act as charge nurse and delegate duties to qualified personnel. Support delegates to ensure safe care administration. Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act, administrative rules, and the Code of Ethics for Nurses. Qualifications Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA) – mandatory. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Current unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, or multistate licensure within the Nurse Licensure Compact. Ability to obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
