Housekeeper - Galveston Beach Resort, Galveston Island, TX

Position Overview Responsible for consistently meeting quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of resort property units. A Housekeeper must ensure they follow the company mission statement and values. Essential Functions Maintain a high standard of excellence. Strip soiled linens from units. Remove trash from units. Clean units, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, closets, and decks. Report clean units as vacant and ready for inspection. Report maintenance issues according to company procedure. Report damaged, dirty, or stained carpets, drapes, furniture, and linens. Report missing inventory and supplies to the Supervisor. Perform weekly guest‑services cleans as directed. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage closets. Attend all training sessions and apply the training in practice. Ensure a safe working environment. Assist in resolving guest complaints promptly. Maintain a high sense of urgency to turn units on time. Experience and Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required. Must be able to lift 25 pounds (with or without accommodation). Decision‑making ability. Planning and scheduling capability. Basic literacy, numeracy, and writing skill. Personal timeliness and promptness on all assignments. Passion for cleanliness. Strong work ethic. Ability to learn and adapt. Willingness to work irregular hours. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions.
