About the role

We are looking for a senior Product Manager to shape strategy across a portfolio of Clinical AI initiatives at a global pharmaceutical organization. The problems here don't arrive as requirements. They show up as technical constraints, open questions from research leadership, and efforts that are moving but not yet pointed in a shared direction. Your job is to turn that into a clear vision and a strategy people can act on. You then own facilitating what gets built, what waits, and what doesn't happen at all with input and guidance from senior leadership.

You'll work directly with senior clinical, data science, and ML engineering leaders. There is a Solution Train Engineer component to the role, including standing up a recurring portfolio review for research leadership. That structure exists to serve the product strategy, not the other way around.

What you'll do

Take technical problems and ambiguous direction, get to the real problem underneath, and turn it into a product vision and strategy for the portfolio.

Define what value looks like for each initiative and work backward from clinical and business outcomes to set priorities.

Own the roadmap and the trade-offs across initiatives, including where efforts compete for the same people, funding, or data, and make the call on what to stop.

Bring research leaders to decisions, using the quarterly portfolio review as the place where direction gets set, not where status gets read out.

Keep the strategy coherent as the science, data, and priorities shift, and communicate changes in direction clearly.

What we're looking for

A track record of taking a technical or loosely defined problem and turning it into a product strategy and vision that others adopted. Be ready to walk through specific examples.

Clear ownership of product decisions: what you chose to build, what you said no to, and what happened as a result.

Proven ability to work independently in ambiguity, forming a point of view with incomplete information and adjusting as you learn. This is the most important thing we're looking for.

Enough technical depth to engage credibly with data science and ML engineering teams and challenge a priority, not just record it.

Concise, direct communication with senior-level presence. You can make a clear point quickly without leaning on a long deck.

Nice to have

Product experience on AI, ML, or data products, including how uncertainty in model performance and data availability shapes a roadmap.

Background in pharma, life sciences, clinical research, or other regulated environments.

Hands-on daily use of AI tooling such as Claude, Copilot, or similar.
