Experienced Welder – Fabrication Shop
We are seeking an experienced welder to join a fabrication-focused industrial shop supporting a variety of structural and precision projects. This role requires strong heliarc/TIG welding abilities and the skill to produce high-quality welds that meet x-ray inspection standards.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with multiple materials and fabrication methods and can operate safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality heliarc/TIG welding on steel and stainless-steel components
- Produce welds that meet x-ray quality requirements for high-spec projects
- Work with structural steel, soft beams, stainless steel piping, and fabricated assemblies
- Assist with steel fabrication, pipe fabrication, and general shop tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area
- Collaborate with shop personnel and supervisors to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a welder in a fabrication or industrial environment
- Strong heliarc/TIG welding skills with the ability to pass weld tests
- Experience producing x-ray quality welds
- Ability to work with steel, stainless steel, and piping materials
- Familiarity with structural fabrication practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
