To encourage the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of Head Start children and to attend to their safety and welfare. To promote family engagement in all aspects of the program. A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, and have been trained or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development. Prefer AAS or BA in Early Childhood Education High school diploma candidates will be required to enroll in a CDA credential program and complete the credential on the Employer's timetable as a condition of employment. No prior experience is necessary. Prefer two years of experience in an early childhood (preschool and/or infant/toddler) classroom. Experience should include the ability to adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of all children Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suites & Database system Valid Iowa Driver's License & ability to be insured under agency policy Must be cleared & allowed to work in a childcare setting by the Iowa Department of Human Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
