Surgical Technician III

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients. Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient’s healing process. To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team‑player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures. Demonstrates superior knowledge and practice in the first scrub role Understands supply costs and independently works with the team to assure that quality of care is maintained while cost containment is considered Demonstrates superior knowledge of the varied surgical equipment and advanced surgical instrumentation; assures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure Assists in communication with Biomedical Services on the status of equipment needing repair or maintenance Educates staff in the care of instrumentation and equipment Job Requirements High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire Three (3) years of experience Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire or Technologist in Surgery-Certified, upon hire or Certified First Assistant – Certified Surgical Technologists, upon hire or Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA, upon hire and Basic Life Support – AHA BLS, within 14 days Pay Range $34.00 – $50.58 per hour St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital, a 100‑bed facility in Fort Bend County, Southwest Houston. #J-18808-Ljbffr
