Automation Controls Engineer

A National company with a facility in the Port Huron, MI area is currently seeking several Automation Control Engineers for a 3-4 month project. This is an exciting opportunity for Controls engineers seeking competitive rates and strong work-life balance.

Automation Controls Engineer rates are anticipated to be $70-80/hourly based on each candidate’s experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         3+ years supporting installation, electrical checkout, startup, and commissioning of mold cell inspection systems.

·         3+ years assisting with startup, programming, teaching, debugging, and optimization of Epson six-axis robots used for part handling and inspection.

·         3+ years assisting with setup, programming, and troubleshooting of Sepro Success 7 press unloading robots, including part removal sequences, handoffs, permissives, and recovery routines.

·         3+ years ideally of metal processing experience preferred. Similar experience will be considered.

·         Experience Reviewing, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC programs, HMI screens, I/O mapping, alarms, recipes, data exchange, and equipment handshakes.

·         Integrate controls with Epson robots, Sepro robots, vision or inspection systems, safety devices, and Arburg injection molding machine interfaces.

·         Diagnose electrical and controls issues using schematics, network diagnostics, PLC logic, I/O status, and structured root cause analysis.

·         Provide hands-on support during cell launch, production trials, validation runs, and early production ramp-up.
