Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join a growing healthcare team in Boston, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with medical office, patient access, customer service, or healthcare administration experience who are looking for a long-term career opportunity.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow, scheduling, and appointment access
• Schedule exams and procedures while prioritizing urgent requests
• Process referrals and coordinate patient follow-up appointments
• Verify insurance coverage, demographic information, and collect co-pays/deductibles
• Make appointment reminder calls
• Process requests for imaging records and CDs
• Monitor referral and scheduling work queues
• Support patient check-in and checkout processes
• Coordinate image sharing and retrieval from outside facilities
• Maintain accurate patient information in radiology systems
• Provide backup support to departmental staff as needed

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
Associate degree in Medical Assisting or Medical Office Administration preferred
Radiology or imaging department experience may substitute for degree/certificate requirements
At least 6 months of medical office and/or customer service experience preferred
Experience with CPT and ICD coding preferred
Strong communication skills with a compassionate and professional demeanor

Pay Details: $18.00 to $19.05 per hour
