Role Description The Director of Clinical Operations is a full-time, hybrid role based in Somerville, NJ, with flexibility for some work from home. This position oversees the planning, delivery, and evaluation of clinical services, including mental health counseling and related support programs, ensuring adherence to best practices, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising clinical staff, providing leadership in case consultation, supporting quality assurance activities, and maintaining policies and procedures that promote effective, client-centered care. The Director collaborates with program leaders to integrate clinical services across JFS offerings, supports data collection and reporting, and contributes to grants and proposals related to clinical programming. The role also involves working closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, managing clinical operations budgets, and representing the agency in professional and community forums. Qualifications Clinical expertise: Licensed mental health professional (e.g., preference for LCSW NJ, consideration for LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) with experience in outpatient counseling, trauma-informed care, and working with diverse populations. Leadership and supervision: Demonstrated ability to supervise multidisciplinary clinical teams, provide clinical oversight, and mentor staff in evidence-informed practice. Operations and quality management: Experience in program administration, workflow optimization, documentation standards, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Communication and collaboration: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, community partners, and stakeholders. Data, reporting, and technology: Ability to use electronic health records, manage data for outcomes and reporting, and leverage basic office technology to support clinical operations.
