Description:

The Development and Fundraising Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the educational division (AUS and NCUS TEC) of NCUS Enterprises. Reporting directly to the President of School and Senior Vice President, this individual will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships, identifying funding opportunities, and supporting the organization’s goals through strategic fundraising initiatives.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Donor Engagement: Develop, retain, and nurture relationships with existing and prospective donors on both local and national levels to ensure long-term support.
  • Data Management: Utilize databases and software to track progress, produce reports, and analyze donor data to inform strategies and improve fundraising outcomes.
  • Grant Writing: Prepare and submit proposals to secure funding from various grant opportunities.
  • Funding Opportunity Research: Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities and potential donors (Philanthropist, Foundations, Business Developers, etc..) ensuring a robust and diverse funding pipeline.
  • Marketing and Communications Assistance: Collaborate with the communications team to promote fundraising efforts effectively through marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of funding opportunities, including application deadlines and follow-up schedules.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for donor engagement, grant writing, and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Interpersonal and Relationship-Building Skills: Ability to create meaningful connections with donors and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Organizational Skills: Efficient multitasking and time management to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using donor management software, databases, and other relevant technology for data analysis and reporting.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong data analysis skills to evaluate fundraising performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop and execute innovative strategies for donor engagement and fundraising success. Teamwork: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with diverse teams, including leadership and communications staff.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Resourceful in overcoming challenges and identifying solutions in a dynamic work environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is essential for driving the success of NCUS Enterprises' fundraising efforts. The Development and Fundraising Coordinator will lead initiatives to secure vital funding, prepare compelling grant proposals, and engage donors meaningfully. By fostering strong relationships and leveraging innovative strategies, this individual will ensure the organization’s financial sustainability and ability to provide impactful educational services. -to-door canvassing and weekend events to engage potential scholars and their families.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma requirements
  • Proven experience working with scholars and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish trusting relationships.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services available to support scholars.
  • Familiarity with attendance tracking systems and procedures.
