Job Summary KMOV's News Producer is responsible for creating, coordinating, and executing assigned newscasts. The producer writes scripts for broadcast and digital content platforms, participates in daily editorial meetings, and presents story ideas. This position plays a key role in shaping the show’s vision based on goals set by news management. Responsibilities Coordinating story development with reporters and the Content Center. Creating production elements and show/story flow. Writing minipaks, intros, VOs, and VO/SOTs. Coordinating live elements with the crew and news team as booth producer. Assigning and dispatching news crews and calling outside sources for on‑air and online reporting. Overseeing script review, reporter storytelling, and direction. Creating a fast‑paced, engaging newscast. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Minimum three years of producing or production support experience at a TV or cable station. Experience with Edius, i-news, ENPS, or other internet production tools and MS Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self‑starter ability to follow through projects until completion.
