This Stepdown travel nurse position in San Diego, California, with Advantis Medical is a 13-week Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) contract at Rady Childrens At Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla Crisis Response. This role pays $2,067 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule.
In this Stepdown travel nursing role, you will provide progressive care in a hospital setting, assess and monitor patient conditions, support urgent interventions, document care accurately, and collaborate with physicians and the clinical care team during fast-moving patient situations.
Advantis Medical supports travel clinicians with streamlined credentialing to help with fast start dates, free license support and renewals, and Day 1 benefits.
Responsibilities
- Manage higher-acuity patients stepping down from intensive care who require close monitoring
- Monitor continuous telemetry and hemodynamic status, recognizing and escalating changes promptly
- Administer medications and IV therapy, including titratable drips approved for the unit, per facility protocol
- Care for patients on high-flow oxygen and non-invasive ventilation when assigned
Travel Nursing Requirements
- 2+ years of recent Stepdown nursing experience
- Active California RN License
