We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a background in automotive repair, enabling them to accurately assess vehicle damage and provide comprehensive estimates for repairs. This role is essential in ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and exceptional service.

Duties

• Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed and prepare detailed estimates for customers.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to identify necessary repairs and parts, ensuring accuracy in assessments.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair options, timelines, and costs while providing excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with the body shop team to align on repair processes and timelines.
• Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions using appropriate software tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the estimating process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive repair or related fields is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand vehicle systems and components.
• Experience in automotive sales or service is a plus, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively transmit information to customers and team members.
• Ability to upsell services based on customer needs while maintaining integrity in recommendations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate estimates and documentation.
