You’ll work on a dynamic stepdown unit providing care for general medical and oncology patients, where expertise in chemotherapy administration and IV skills are essential.Schedule/Hours:Night shift: three 12-hour shifts (19:00 07:30)Every other weekend requiredBlock scheduling may be accommodated (please specify requests)Assigned weekend shifts, other days may be self-scheduledMust be available the first two weeks of assignmentQualifications:Active Michigan RN licenseBLS certification (AHA)ONCC or ONS certification required (ONS pending accepted; ONCC must be current)Minimum 2 years PCU/Stepdown nursing experienceProficient in administering chemotherapy via IV and starting IVsFamiliarity with Welch Allyn Vital Sign Towers, Sigma IV pumps, and EPIC documentation systemResponsibilities:Deliver specialized and compassionate nursing care for stepdown and oncology patientsAdminister chemotherapy and other IV medications safely and efficientlyMonitor patient status, recognize changes promptly, and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary teamFloat as needed to other med/surg units, including AU and ER, providing care within your scopeMaintain accurate and timely documentation in EPICAdhere to nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 1:4-6), with support as acuity demandsBenefits:Collaborative environment with strong support staffFlexible scheduling with opportunities for block shiftsOpportunity to expand oncology and stepdown skills in a respected settingStep into a pivotal role where your dedication makes a difference every night.
