Restaurant Supervisor Full Time Supervisor Bishop, CA, Bishop, CA, US POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision of the Food & Beverage Director the Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations on assigned shift by spending time on the floor interacting with guests on the floor and coaching Food & Beverage Team Members. Based on forecasted needs on daily business volumes, directs proper levels of service is provided Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable work environment for Team Members and guests always. Creates a positive and supportive work environment. Enforces all regulatory internal controls, policies and procedures and utilizes progressive discipline as needed. Enforces all appearance and uniform guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Delegates and assigns duties to all Food & Beverage Team Members day-to-day tasks to achieve operational objectives. Ensures all guests are served in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner. Develops the Food & Beverage Team Members superior service to guests. Assist Food & Beverage Director in the management of staffing levels in accordance with established budgetary goals and business volume. Enforce and sets high standards by complying with all Wanaaha Casino and Food & Beverage policies and procedures. Notifies and trains Team Members on changes on policy and procedures. Interacts with guests during their supervisory shift to ensure service and food quality meet the expectations of the guests, and those issues are resolved prior to the guest departing the Food & Beverage Outlet. Checks business levels and adjusts staffing levels as necessary to ensure all Food & Beverage Outlets are staffed appropriately. Addresses any conflict or issues within the Food & Beverage Team promptly and maintains a harmonious work environment. Provides guidance, training, recognition, and ongoing feedback to new and existing Team Members under the direction of the Food & Beverage Director. Maintains a positive attitude and outlook and encourages the Food & Beverage Team to gain support and create positive morale. Inspect by walking through your assigned areas to monitor staff and to monitor guest needs. May support management in the completion of administrative responsibilities Supervise the activities of all Team Members assigned to the floor; ensure that breaks occur promptly. Aware of services, promotions, and events offered at Wanaaha Casino and communicates this information to all Team Members. Gathers and analyzes guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and help implement strategies for enhancement. Monitors food quality, presentation, and service standards to maintain consistency and excellence. Assist Team Members in their duties as needed. Attends all training and seminars as prescribed. All other duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Food & Beverage Team Members EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or G.E.D Certification or equivalent. Must be at least 21 years of age or older. Must possess a valid Driver’s License. Two (2) years’ experience of Restaurant Management required. One (1) year supervisory experience required. Must successfully complete Food Handlers course within 30 days of employment. Must obtain and maintain an Alcohol Server’s License within 30 days of employment. Knowledge of the principles and practices within the Food & Beverage/Hospitality Industries. Skill in providing leadership to, supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff. Proficiency in Restaurant software such as Micros, Agilysys, or similar software. Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action. Ability to work independently and meet strict timelines. Ability to effectively communicate with others in a leadership capacity. Other Requirements Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters. Must be detailed oriented. An excellent appearance is required and must always be in proper uniform attire and always be friendly. Must be able to work various schedules, on an as-needed basis; as work schedules could vary and will involve day, evening, or nighttime hours during the week and/or on weekends. Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License. Must pass an extensive background check. Must pass a pre-employment drug test. PHYSICAL DEMANDS To perform this job successfully, the Team Member must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The demands described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. Ability to remain on feet for the entire length of the shift, constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Ability to use arms to reach and lift above shoulders. Ability to lift, push, or pull upwards of fifty pounds.
