UX Researcher III

Location: Chicago, IL – (Hybrid – 3 days on Site) Duration: 6 months Rate: DOE U.S. Citizens and those who are authorized to work independently in the United States are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
• 5+ years of usability research experience with multifaceted responsibilities
• Extensive knowledge of usability and UX research tools and techniques (e.g., field research, heuristic reviews, benchmarking, card sorts, lo-fidelity prototyping)
• Strong understanding of user interface design practices and principles
• Strong moderation skills for group facilitation and consensus building
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred:

• Master's degree
• Experience conducting remote usability testing and focus groups
• Experience with both web and mobile platforms
• Experience in related fields like human factors, interactive design, information architecture, or market research.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent research on various product aspects and user experiences
• Analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, A/B testing, and more
• Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other UXRs to prioritize research
• Understand and integrate complex technical and business requirements into research
• Advocate research findings through reports and presentations
• Source and gather targeted testing audiences
• Utilize strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
