Certified Medical Assistant – Employee Health – CMA – Phlebotomy

United Staffing Solutions (USS) is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to support the Employee Health & Well-Being Center of a large senior living community in Houston, TX. This position combines hands-on clinical Medical Assistant duties with administrative support, making it ideal for someone who is equally comfortable providing patient care and maintaining accurate documentation and records.

Location: West Houston / Energy Corridor area
Pay: $21–$22/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; no overtime
Employment Type: Temporary assignment beginning immediately. Possibility of becoming permanent based on business needs

Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities

• Performing blood draws, venipuncture, fingersticks, injections, vaccinations, point-of-care testing, and EKGs
• Scheduling employee appointments and maintaining accurate medical records
• Documenting cases, test results, and other required clinical information
• Providing front desk support, including answering phones, assisting employees, data entry, and managing medical records
• Preparing employees for examinations and recording vital signs
• Assisting with workers’ compensation and OSHA documentation as directed
• Maintaining clinical supplies and required lab compliance documentation
• Providing excellent customer service while maintaining employee confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Following infection control, aseptic technique, and patient safety procedures

Certified Medical Assistant Requirements

• Current Medical Assistant Certification required
• Current CPR Certification required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
• Strong blood draw/venipuncture and injection skills
• Experience handling administrative responsibilities, including case documentation, medical records, data entry, scheduling, and other clinical administrative tasks
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and prioritize tasks
• Strong computer, communication, and customer service skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA and infection control practices
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
