Robotic Solutions Engineer - Field Service

Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a Robotic Solutions Engineer for field service in West Palm Beach, FL or Santa Clara, CA. The role involves hands-on technical support for robotic medical systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in hospital and manufacturing settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform system setup, installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, calibration, upgrades, and deinstallation of robotic medical systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and system-performance issues using diagnostic tools and documentation
- Respond to scheduled and unscheduled service needs to maintain system reliability and customer satisfaction
- Complete inspections, field actions, software updates, and service tasks per approved procedures
- Maintain service records, manage spare parts and equipment inventory, and coordinate with hospital stakeholders
Requirements
- 2-3 years field service, medical devices, robotics, or capital equipment experience
- Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, and software troubleshooting
- Experience with installation, commissioning, calibration, testing, or preventive maintenance
- Basic knowledge of regulated medical-device environments and GMP/ISO standards
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and data-analysis capabilities
- Professional customer-service and communication skills
- Fluent English written and verbal communication
