Posting Details Classification Information Classification Type EHRA Position Overview Primary Purpose of Position The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach will assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in delivering comprehensive strength and conditioning programs to student-athletes. Primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing and supervising programs for assigned teams. Additionally, the assistant will communicate with other athletic department staff and coaches regarding scheduling, athletic injuries, and student-athlete attendance. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology or related field required. Must be certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS certification) or by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa certification) and USAW Club certification preferred. Current standard first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillation (AED) certifications or ability to obtain. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education Two or more years’ experience in the area of strength and conditioning with one year at the collegiate level. Evidence of ability to interact positively with student athletes, colleagues, and the public. Evidence of strong organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills. Required License or Certification Must be certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS certification) or by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa certification) and USAW Club certification preferred.
