Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: ASAP \n Duration: 10 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n TRAVEL - RN - L&D \n Location: Wesley Medical Center \n Address: 550 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214 \n Floor: 2 \n Building: Main Entrance \n \n General Information \n Tell us about the unit(s): \n \n Number of Beds -26 \n Number of Staff – 112 \n Type of staff: \n \n Day Shift – 1 CNC(TL), 14 nurses, 2-3 ST, 2-unit clerks \n Night Shift – 1 CNC (TL),, 12 nurses, 2 ST, 1 unit clerk \n \n Patient Ratios – 1:1 high risk labor c-sections; 1:2 antepartum, PPROM, PTL on mag, PP on mag; 1:3 PP mag no baby, Outpatients \n Type of equipment – Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, CPN(Client) monitor \n EMR – Meditech / CPN \n \n Typical hiring profile \n Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) \n Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. \n \n Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital L&D RN experience \n BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM-C or AWHONN \n \n Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. \n \n Circulating C-sections \n High risk LDR experience \n \n List typical procedures performed on unit(s): \n \n C-sections and Inductions \n AROM, IUPC, DFM and Doppler \n \n Best personality Fit: \n \n Compassionate, caring, friendly, patient and solutions oriented \n Patient care experience is a priority \n \n Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. \n \n Oxytocin policy \n \n Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. * Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent . \n We do self-scheduling which is a big staff satisfier. Our team works together well to cover the staffing needs of the unit. We have a team nursing approach, where all of the nurses look out for each other, and help each other when possible. Strong leadership team that is supportive of nurses and can all work the floor when/if needed. We have many tenured nurses with 20-40 years of experience.
