Crate Builder / Shipper

Crate Builder / Shipper 1st shift / Mon-Fri / 7am-3:30pm Greenville, SC $19

PrideStaff Greenville is seeking a dependable and knowledgeable Crate Builder / Shipper on behalf of our client in Greenville, SC in the Woodruff Rd area. We are searching for an experienced Crate Builder / Shipper that is responsible for providing a comprehensive solution for transporting equipment and machinery safely and securely, ensuring it arrives at its destination in excellent condition. A person with carpentry skills and knowledge of packaging materials, preservation techniques, and shipping logistics to protect valuable assets during transit is preferred.

Crate Builder / Shipper Tasks:

Preserve and package machinery to protect from environmental damage (cleaning, lubricating, protective coating)
Lead/assist with export crating for secure, compliant transport
Collaborate with customer on preservation/warehousing needs
Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment per protocols
Accurately document work and communicate machinery status
Represent the company professionally in customer interactions
Suggest improvements for warehouse/preservation processes

Crate Builder / Shipper Work Activities:

Proficient with hand tools and preservation equipment
Experience with machinery preservation, export crating, and handling large equipment preferred
Forklift experience (preferred)
Knowledge of blue prints reading and drawing
Ability to lift & carry up to 50lbs, and move heavy machinery
Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
Committed to safety procedures and PPE use.
Effective verbal/written communication and professional appearance
Comfortable in industrial settings with varying conditions/temperatures
Flexibility with hours based on customer needs.
