RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of our nation in defending the United States and its interests.

What You Will Do:

• Assist engineering staff with operations, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair and modification of radar systems for C-band radar.
• Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on the radar which involves evaluating complex radar electrical systems to diagnose and repair component failures.
• Assist with equipment design modifications, including fabrication, drawings and testing.
• Participate as a team member in the design and implementation of improvement and modernization (I&M) projects involving electrical, servos, and other subsystems as necessary.
• Provide transmitter operations support including but not limited to daily warm-ups, satellite tracks, and range test operations. 
• Perform necessary diagnostics and repair of radar equipment. 
• Maintain maintenance schedules, spare parts, and equipment inventory.
• Support customers by preparing systems for mission execution and operations.
• Perform occasional shift work to support operational tasking.
• Maintain operational equipment i.e. (electric motors, pumps, compressors, etc.)
• Maintain shop equipment i.e. (drill press, lathe, sandblaster, plasma table, etc.)
• Maintain current spare parts inventory and procure parts as required.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance performed.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Support day-to-day operations to meet radar mission requirements.
• Works with minimal supervision.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or related field, military or vocational training equivalent, or experience in lieu of education. 
• Eight (8) or more years of technical experience. 
• Working understanding of engineering practices such as:
  • Soldering 
  • Circuit board work
  • System and component level troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, power meters, insulation testers, and other test equipment.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with industry control systems. 
• Ability to communicate with suppliers, perform material estimating, write technical specifications, read and approve submittals and finalize as-built drawings.
• Self-motivated and work effectively with considerable latitude but follow established processes.
• Be a self-starter and ability to work well independently but also as part of a team with a common goal.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to work in small, tight spaces. 
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
• Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
• The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with high voltage systems or RF transmission equipment.
• Direct experience with high power generators or electro-mechanical systems.
• Experienced at building and/or terminating cables such as BNC, N type RF cables, semi-rigid coax, Helix coax and soldering.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC software/ladder logic.
• Some knowledge of programs such as RSLinx, RSLogix, RSView, Matlab.
• Familiarity with complex mechanical systems, gear boxes, large brake systems and/or large electric motors/generators.
