Project Manager

Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL (Hybrid) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility available) Duration: Contract Assignment - 24 months Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee transmission and substation projects across this major utilities service territory. This role will manage multiple projects simultaneously through various phases of the project lifecycle, including engineering, construction, and closeout. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong stakeholder management skills, financial awareness, and the ability to drive projects to successful completion while maintaining budget and schedule objectives. Manage transmission and substation projects from initiation through completion. Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to drive project execution. Prioritize multiple active projects across different stages of the project lifecycle. Monitor project budgets, schedules, risks, and deliverables. Participate in site walkdowns and field visits at substation locations. Influence stakeholders to support successful project implementation and execution. Track project progress and provide regular status updates. Utilize Microsoft Office and internal company software to manage project documentation and reporting. Required Qualifications 5–10 years of Project Management experience. Proven ability to independently drive projects to resolution. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Financial acumen and experience managing project budgets and schedules. Ability to understand, evaluate, and act on technical project information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel to project sites. Ability to perform site walkdowns in gravel substation environments. Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Experience supporting utility, transmission, substation, engineering, or infrastructure projects. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively. This is a hybrid position based out of Lincoln Center 3 in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. Team members are generally expected in the office Tuesday through Thursday, with flexibility for remote work on Monday and Friday when field visits are not required.
