Position Overview This opportunity is for a full‑time (36 hours per week) Registered Nurse (RN) working with our inpatient adolescent population (ages 12–17). The position offers full benefits and a convenient schedule of two weekdays plus every other Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. This position also qualifies for a $12,000 sign‑on bonus: $1,000 paid after 90 days, $1,500 after 6 months, $2,500 after one year, $3,000 after 18 months, and $4,000 after 2 years. Job Duties Develop and maintain a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the care continuum. Apply the nursing process as a problem‑solving model, mastering clinical skills related to patients' mental and physical health needs. Facilitate patients' and families' right to receive safe, quality, and cost‑effective care and protect confidentiality. Demonstrate commitment to meeting learning needs of patients and families, using appropriate resources to achieve positive outcomes, and promoting educational growth for nursing peers. Participate as an effective member of the interdisciplinary care team, fostering collaboration and professional development. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited college or university of professional nursing. Current NC State Nursing License (or other state compact). Minimum one year of nursing experience. AHA CPR & First Aid certification. Knowledge of nursing assessment, diagnoses, interventions, medication administration, monitoring responses, and special treatment procedures; ability to educate families about medication and care management. Understanding of human behavior, developmental stages, limit setting, crisis and behavior management, and therapeutic relationships. Physical ability to perform essential functions: sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, walk, and speak face‑to‑face and on the phone; normal or corrected vision and hearing; proficient written and oral communication in English. Ability to implement non‑violent crisis intervention techniques and interact professionally with all staff and patients.
