About the Family

A warm, active, and welcoming family in Westport, CT is seeking an experienced, nurturing, organized, and highly dependable Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household.

The family has five children, ages 10, 8, 6, 2, and 1 , with primary childcare responsibilities focused on the two youngest children, ages 2 and 1 .

The three older children attend school full-time and participate in extracurricular activities. The 2-year-old attends preschool three mornings per week, while the 1-year-old follows an established nap schedule.

The family is looking for a professional who can provide loving, attentive, and developmentally appropriate childcare while assisting with daily household organization and family routines.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, flexible, patient, and confident managing a busy family environment . Someone who enjoys creative activities, outdoor play, and supporting children’s developmental milestones would be an excellent fit.

Schedule & Flexibility

Monday–Friday | Approximately 40 Hours Per Week

• Four weekdays: 8 hours per day.
• One weekday/date-night shift: 1:00 PM–9:30 PM.
• Total scheduled hours: Approximately 40.5 hours per week.
• The date-night weekday will be determined and coordinated between the family and nanny.
• Additional hours may be requested and will be compensated accordingly.
• Occasional pre-arranged weekends and overnights.
• Flexibility for domestic and international family travel.

The family values flexibility and open communication when coordinating schedules.

Responsibilities

Childcare & Development

• Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for the 1-year-old and 2-year-old.
• Plan engaging activities, including arts and crafts, reading, storytelling, imaginative play, and outdoor adventures.
• Support developmental milestones through educational play and daily routines.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Maintain consistent nap schedules, mealtimes, and daily routines.
• Assist with dressing, diaper changes, hygiene, and age-appropriate independence.
• Provide occasional assistance and supervision for the three older children.
• Transport children to and from preschool, activities, and appointments as needed.
• Assist with evening and bedtime routines during the scheduled date-night shift.

Family Assistant & Household Support

• Maintain organized children’s bedrooms, playrooms, and activity areas.
• Handle children’s laundry and light childcare-related housekeeping.
• Assist with household organization and daily family routines.
• Run family-related errands as needed.
• Help coordinate children’s schedules and activities.
• Prepare light meals for the children.
• Keep children’s supplies, clothing, and belongings organized.
• Assist with packing and preparation for family travel.
• Work collaboratively with the parents to maintain a smooth and organized household.

Ideal Candidate

The family is seeking a professional who is:

• Experienced: Minimum 3–5 years of recent, relevant professional nanny experience.
• Infant & Toddler Experienced: Strong understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate routines.
• Organized & Proactive: Able to anticipate needs, manage schedules, and maintain household organization.
• Warm & Nurturing: Patient, affectionate, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
• Energetic & Creative: Enjoys outdoor activities, arts and crafts, storytelling, and educational play.
• Flexible & Adaptable: Comfortable adjusting to changing family schedules, occasional additional hours, overnights, and travel.
• Reliable & Professional: Punctual, discreet, responsible, and an excellent communicator.
• Confident Driver: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Pet-Friendly: Comfortable around a large, friendly family dog.
• CPR Certified: Current CPR certification required.
• Excellent References: Strong professional childcare references required.
• Work Authorized: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Hourly Rate: $35-$40/hr.
