Forklift Operators (Cherry Pickers)

Surestaff is immediately hiring Forklift Operators (Cherry Pickers) for a large, well-known client in Elgin, IL. As a Forklift Operator, you will safely operate elevated order-picking equipment (Cherry Picker/Stand-Up Reach Truck) to select, stage, and load packaging, shipping, and industrial supplies. Available shifts include:

• 6am - 2:30pm, M-F - $18.58
• 8:30am - 5pm, M-F - $18.58
• 9:30pm - 6am, M-Th - $20.83

Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator:

• Safely operate a Cherry Picker (Order Picker) at elevated heights to pick cases and full pallets of inventory.
• Accurately pick orders using RF scanners, pick tickets, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Conduct cycle counts, stock replenishment, and put-away tasks while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Assist with staging, pallet wrapping, loading, and unloading shipments as needed.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment; adhere to all OSHA guidelines, harness/harness-tether protocols, and facility safety procedures.

Required Qualifications of the Forklift Operator:

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating an electric Cherry Picker / Order Picker in a warehouse environment.
• OSHA Forklift/Cherry Picker certification preferred
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
• Previous experience using handheld RF scanners and basic WMS systems.
