About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Evening Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: - Completed at least one previous travel assignment - Must not have been full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated within the past year Description: Candidates will work in an emergency room setting. The unit contains 33 beds, including 2 trauma bays. There are 5 psych/seclusion rooms available. The average number of patients per day is 125-140. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 3-4:1. Daily support includes a charge nurse available 24/7. Emergency department technicians, security personnel, and patient sitters are present. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Occasional holiday shifts are expected. Scrubs are navy blue, both top and bottom. Vents are available in the department. Lab draws and IV teams are on site 24/7. Pharmacy services are also available 24/7. The role requires knowledge of common emergency cases, such as stroke, trauma, and acute coronary syndrome. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for this position.
