Accounts Payable Clerk

Hybrid RoleUnder guidance from the Accounts Payable Lead, this position will perform financial, administrative, and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures and providing services in an effective and efficient manner to ensure that finances are accurate and up to date and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.The Accounts Payable Clerk will perform the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and timely manner to meet departmental deadlines.Responsible for receiving, verifying/coding, and preparing invoices for daily processing including any approvals neededManage AP email and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely mannerMonitor invoices, payments and expenditures to verify that transactions comply with financial policies and proceduresManage the weekly payment runs (ACH, checks, wires)Initiating and maintaining vendors in the ERP system while reviewing monthly statements from and prepare vendor checks for mailingManage and monitor weekly payment runs, maintenance of aged payables and reconciling vendor accountsAssist with monthly close and annual auditsAdditional responsibilities as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:3-5 years of previous AP experience in lieu of educational experience is preferredStrong attention to detail and organized time management - requiredGreat communication and follow-throughProactive in identifying problems and taking actions to resolveStrong capabilities working with Microsoft Office, including ExcelTeam spirited, self-managed, positive, strong work ethic, and dependableEducation and Experience:Associate degree in accounting preferredMinimum of high school diploma or GED and 3 -5 years of experience in similar position will be consideredPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMonday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, OT as required - Hybrid Role Sabrosura Foods
