Senior Business Analyst - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst with P&C Insurance and guidewire experience for a Major Insurance Company located in Chicago, IL. This is a contract to perm opportunity. Must be able to go on site 5 days a week. Compensation: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications Position Overview: This role serves as a key liaison between the business community and technology teams, ensuring business intent is accurately translated into application changes. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive experience in P&C Insurance to elicit, document, and manage requirements for claims systems, ultimately delivering solutions that provide significant business value. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the liaison between the business community and the development team through which requirements flow Conduct interviews and lead requirements gathering sessions with business representatives to elicit business requirements for system development Document business, system, functional, and non-functional requirements including usability, reliability, performance, and support Maintain requirements in alignment with the Project Management Office (PMO) standards of documentation Effectively communicate issues to business customers and other stakeholders Apply tools like Jira, Visio, and others to define requirements and documentation Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned projects and processes Conduct issue triage and escalation as it relates to requirements and technical issues Perform Knowledge Transfer with technical teams including Development, Quality Assurance, and Production Support Coordinate the building of user acceptance test cases by business partners, as well as the execution of user acceptance testing Mentor internal or external Business Analysts and review work product as needed Work with application managers and business product owners on prioritizing requests, coordinating UAT, and providing status to business customers Primary Requirements: 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst capacity, with at least 3 years of Insurance business experience (claims, underwriting, agency accounting, corporate underwriting, etc) Must have strong experience in P&C insurance Claims systems Able to work directly with the business to understand business requirements on a project basis Ability to understand the business area's functions and systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Experience with business analysis methodology, process improvement methodology, project and risk management, and industry-related tools Aptitude for technology and have extensive insurance experience Desired Skills: IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) Guidewire Claim Center experience Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
