Member Services Representative

Position Details

• Job Title: Member Services Representative
• Location: Akron, OH
• Schedule: Monday Friday
• Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Position Type: Seasonal Contract
• Training: Approximately 4 weeks of in-person orientation/training
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Candidates may be required to work onsite during the assignment)
• Important: Candidates must live within the Akron/Canton area to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to members by phone, email, or in person.
• Assist members with questions regarding enrollment, benefits, eligibility, billing, claims, and authorizations.
• Accurately document member inquiries and complaints while ensuring timely resolution.
• Meet departmental quality and productivity goals in a fast-paced call center environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of member health information and comply with company policies and healthcare regulations.
• Utilize sound judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve member concerns.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure excellent member service.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (College coursework preferred)
• 2+ years of customer service, call center, or administrative support experience
• Experience with Medicare and/or Health Insurance is strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using Windows-based systems and standard office equipment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Professional, empathetic, and service-oriented telephone manner
