As a Screener in a healthcare setting, you will support a welcoming environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors, communicating clearly with patients and staff, and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence will help to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeFri11:30 PM - 08:00 AMSat11:30 PM - 08:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Screen individuals entering the healthcare location in accordance with established access, visitor management, and health screening requirements.
- Verify identification, communicate entry procedures, and direct patients and visitors to appropriate areas while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
- Document screening activity, unusual occurrences, and policy violations, and report concerns to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
