We are on the lookout for a dedicated and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist to be part of a forward-thinking imaging team. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small-part studies
- Prioritize patient care by ensuring comfort and safety throughout each procedure, clearly explaining the imaging process
- Work hand-in-hand with radiologists and physicians to generate high-quality diagnostic images
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and promptly address any malfunctions
- Document procedures accurately and keep up-to-date patient records using electronic medical systems
- Keep abreast of advancements in ultrasound technologies and imaging best practices
Educational Background
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Preference for candidates who have completed a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
Required Certifications
- Hold current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or a comparable organization
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is also preferred
Essential Skills
- Proficient in sonographic imaging procedures and patient positioning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
