Vitesse Systems is looking for a Mechanical Engineer I to join the team in Webster, Texas! The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing components and assemblies with a keen eye for structural integrity. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with RF Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to deliver innovative and manufacturable products for our internal and external customers. Key Responsibilities People Communicate technical information internally with various departments Processes Design hardware based on customer specifications using SolidWorks Perform static and dynamic analyses (modal, static, vibration) on designed hardware based on customer specifications using NEi Nastran and Femap Create and maintain proper documentation associated with the design and analysis of the hardware Support production and test of the hardware Review and approve drawings using GD&T Adhere to government regulations, industry standards, and internal guidelines to produce quality hardware in a quality setting Performance Participate in continuing process improvement Demonstrate company core values Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field SolidWorks or similar CAD experience desired. EPDM experience is a plus Working knowledge of ERP systems is desired.
