About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS ACLS Must-Have: Positive attitude Teamwork Problem-solving skills Description: The ICU is a 16-bed unit with a patient ratio of 2:1. Staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. The unit is equipped with GE monitors and Nova glucometers. Other equipment includes Pyxis medication dispensing and Dräger ventilators. Documentation is managed using Meditech. Scheduling includes every other weekend. Floating policy is in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers. Patient experience requirements include AIDET, communication board completion, and medication teaching. The unit performs procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion. Advanced skills required include ventilator/sedation management and medication titration. Dress code consists of charcoal gray scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines must be adhered to.
